Sincere condolences are being sent to the family and friends of Gloria Perkins Gomm. Rest in peace, Gloria.

I received word that the Brooks Field Day has been canceled for this year. They hope to be back again next year.

A big thank you to my helpers of the week, Merrily, Chris, Lisa, Alan Sr. and Alan Jr. You are all very much appreciated.

Also, I really enjoy the Mia visits

I hope everyone has been enjoying the ice cream at Ridge Top. I know I have and I am anxiously awaiting my next delivery.

I had a nice call from Sue Dwyer recently. I told her we need to chat more often so that it will not take so long to get caught up with everything going on around us.

Do not forget to patronize the Freedom Grange on Sunday, June 28, 2 to 4 p.m. at their strawberry shortcake drive-thru at Ingraham Equipment at $5 each. A great Sunday ride.

I hope everyone has been reading Reade Brower's column in The Republican Journal. I have been thoroughly enjoying it.

Alexander Pope is quoted as saying, "It is with narrow-souled people as with narrow-necked bottles; the less they have in it, the more noise they make in pouring it out."

Have a great week, but do not forget to stop and smell the flowers.
