The Thorndike town meeting has been rescheduled to Saturday, April 24, 9 a.m. at the Thorndike Fire Station. Mask and social distancing guidelines will be followed. If you want to participate in town decisions, you must attend in person and be signed in. For further information, please call the Town Office at 568-3655.

My sincere condolences are being sent to the family and many friends of Dorothy (Dot) Quimby. A celebration of Dot's life will be held Saturday, April 24, at Star In The West Masonic Hall, 327 Main St., Unity. Face masks will be required and hand sanitizer will be available.

Sympathy is being extended to the family and friends of Christine Hubbard. Her smiling face will be forever missed.

We have had some nice weather and now, we have a rain/snow storm predicted for this weekend. From one extreme to another. I guess I will not be seeing any 80-degree days in the gazebo for a few days.

I love seeing the daffodils and crocuses in bloom. Also, the rhubarb is peeking out of the ground. I just love rhubarb custard pie. It is a good thing it is only in season in the spring. I must dig some dandelion greens, too. I think there are enough to give me a taste now, and more to come a little later.

Papa Dixon was a recent visitor of Dustin. They have such a great time laughing and telling stories.

Condolences are being sent to the family and friends of Jacqueline McCormick. I remember when she was the postmaster in Unity. A very personable lady and very well-liked.

Happy birthday to Linda Rolerson.

Do not forget the Chicken Barbecue, silent auction, etc., to benefit the building of a home for Stephen Fowler at the Snowdusters clubhouse on Fisher Road, Unity. Check it out on Facebook and see everything that has been donated. This will be a mask and social distancing event. You may eat inside or take out. For more information, please call Lori at 356-1586.

Lisa, Chris and Mia had a gazebo visit with us last weekend. It was a great day for snacks and lots of conversation in the gazebo.

Have a great week and get outside and enjoy the fresh air.

Jennifer Finney Boylan is quoted as saying, "Admit when you are wrong. The older you get, the more frequently you will have the opportunity."
