I had a little bird tell me that Kari Henry got her moose last week. I will expect a steak out of that hunting trip.

The Knox Station Grange will hold their last public supper of the season on Saturday, October 21st. I will try to get the menu for my next column.

Tanner, Logan and Grayson Austin Jae Grant were recent visitors of Dustin and me. He is one handsome little devil.

On Sunday, November 12th, the Thorndike Fire Department will host their annual open house. There will be raffles, good food and good conversation. Please stop by and show your support.

The annual hunter's breakfast in memory of Austin Jae Grant will be held at the Thorndike Town Office on Saturday, October 28th, beginning at 4:30 am. It is a time of sharing our memories with Austin's friends and family. Hope to see you there. I will be making the sausage gravy and biscuits again.

The next Thorndike selectmen's meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 18th, starting promptly at 6:30 p.m. Residents should attend these meetings to understand how this town is run.

Albert Einstein was quoted as saying, "The hardest thing to understand in the world is the income tax."

If anyone would like some grapes to make jelly or wine, please contact me. I have lots just hanging off the vines.

This weather has been totally amazing. I am going to enjoy every single day that is above 65 degrees.
