May is Lyme Disease Awareness Month

'Tick Talk' at Stockton library April 20

Stockton Springs — As part of its “Neighbors Helping Neighbors: Seniors at Home in Stockton Springs” series, Stockton Springs Community Library presents a pair of speakers discussing Lyme disease in a "Tick Talk" Friday, April 20, at 7 p.m. May is Lyme Disease Awareness Month.

Dr. Beatrice Szantyr, MD, FAAP, and Constance “Happy” Dickey, RN, will tell what Midcoast residents should know about the causes, incidence and difficulties of medical diagnosis of Lyme disease, and the steps people should take to protect themselves and their families. A question-and-answer session will follow.

The free program is made possible in part by the support of the Maine Charity Foundation Fund of the Maine Community Foundation. All are welcome. Light refreshments will be served.
