Town meeting schedule

Town meetings are being rescheduled in Waldo County. Following is a list of those currently scheduled, those yet to be determined, and those held pre-shutdown; it will be updated as new information is received:

Belmont – Held in March.

Brooks – Held July 13.

Burnham – Held June 27.

Frankfort – Held July 18.

Freedom – Election held in March.

Islesboro – Aug. 25, solely by referendum ballot.

Jackson – Held June 20.

Knox – Friday, Aug. 21, 4 to 8 p.m., for secret ballot voting, and Saturday, Aug. 22, 10 a.m., outside Town Hall.

Liberty – Held June 27.

Lincolnville – Held July 14 by referendum ballot.

Monroe – Held June 15.

Montville – No town meeting this year.

Morrill – Held June 27.

Northport – Held July 16.

Palermo –

Prospect – No town meeting this year. Budget referendum Aug. 21 at Town Hall, 3 to 7 p.m.

Searsmont – Held July 18.

Searsport – Held March 7.

Stockton Springs –  Held July 18.

Swanville –

Thorndike – Town meeting  9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, at Fire Station. Rain date Aug. 29.

Troy – No town meeting this year; operating off last year’s budget.

Unity – No town meeting this year; operating off last year's budget.

Waldo – Held July 11.

Winterport – Held July 16.

RSU 3 towns (Brooks, Freedom, Jackson, Knox, Liberty, Monroe, Montville, Thorndike, Troy, Unity and Waldo) will all be voting on five at-large termed-out school board seats.
