Unity College’s 45th commencement exercises to be held May 10

This year’s speaker is Céline Cousteau.

Unity College's commencement exercises will be held Saturday, May 10 at Tozier Gymnasium.

At 1 p.m. a bagpiper will lead President Stephen Mulkey, trustees, faculty, staff, honored guests, and graduate candidates in a procession up Murdoch Drive through the center of campus into Tozier Gymnasium. Commencement is scheduled to conclude at 2:30 p.m. with the forming of a recessional receiving line adjacent to Quimby Library to congratulate graduates.

A total of 146 graduate candidates are expected to receive their two or four-year degrees.

This year’s speaker is Céline Cousteau, a rising star among nature documentary filmmakers and conservation advocates. She is a granddaughter of famed ocean explorer Jacques Cousteau.

Other speakers include President Mulkey; Bruce Nickerson,  chair of Unity College board of trustees; Dr. Melik Peter Khoury, executive vice president; Dr. Michael Evans, provost and vice president for academic affairs; and Dr. Sarah Cunningham, assistant professor and director of the Center for Experiential and Environmental Education.
