It is with great sadness to report the death of "Babe" Tozier on Aug. 9. Condolences are extended to his wife Kay, and his children Joel and Susan. He was an integral part of the Unity community and will be sorely missed.

Axe and Saw Day is coming up at MOFGA on Aug. 19 from 10am-3pm. Cost is $5.

Bob MacGregor, President, Waldo County Woodshed in Belfast is looking for a few people in the Unity area to help set up and staff a firewood distribution point for the Waldo County Woodshed. They have a lot of recipients in this area and have had trouble with the previous Unity site. He can be reached at 338-2692

Swimming lessons ended this week. I went down this morning and asked the kids what they thought. They were very happy with what they learned and are looking forward to more lessons next year. Thank you Kati Ann Curtis for the excellent work that you do.

There are a few beautiful older homes now for sale in the village. If you are looking for a perfect bedroom community the town of Unity has all the amenities you need and we are centrally located.
