If cusswords were allowed, I'd use every single one of them to describe how I feel about yesterday's nor'easter. They're talking about another one next week. Insert more cusswords here.

Many thanks going out to Lori Grant Nason for organizing the luncheon for the town meeting on March 24. This will be to benefit the new recreation "department" for the town. If you can help, please get in touch with her. There are 61 articles this year; we will definitely need a lunch!

Wishing a speedy recovery for Alicia McCormick after her recent foot surgery. I had my right foot screwed back together after a car accident in 2011. It's not a whole lot of fun, but thankfully they've come out with those knee scooters.

Please join participating Maine Maple Producers for the 35th anniversary of Maine Maple Sunday on March 25. Visit Maine sugarhouses to observe the process of maple syrup being produced. You will have an opportunity to sample some delicious maple syrup and maple confections as well as learn about the age-old process coupled with modern methods of maple sugaring in Maine. My preference is for the dark amber.

Every Tuesday night that I have to be at the Town Office, I get my supper from China Jade on School Street. I always get the "letter A." A scoop of pork fried rice, crab rangoons and chicken fingers. $5.35 (including tax). I consider myself a crab rangoon aficionado; I give theirs five stars.

We seems to have a great inventory of land and homes for sale in Unity. It's a great place to live. Please see Don and Emily Newell at Town and County Realty, or Todd and Ian at American Realty.

The Mount View Elementary Parent Teacher Committee is soliciting donations so that every Mount View Elementary student can receive a $10 certificate to be used at the Spring Book Fair, held in April. "Book bucks" can be sent to Mount View Elementary School PTC, 573 Mount View Road, Thorndike, ME 04986.
