I received a nice email from Edna Mitchell, currently in Florida, regarding my weekly news column. She was my eighth grade math teacher. I recalled to her one time when she was scolding the class (Class of 1985) because we were misbehaving. She said something to the effect that all the extra she put in besides actual class time was causing her garden to "go to pot." We thought that was hilarious; we burst out in laughter.

Congratulations to Cassie Pillsbury on the purchase of the former Grace United Methodist Church in Bangor to house the Thomas School of Dance. She also runs Cassie's School of Dance in Unity.
