I was speaking with my sister Patti the other day. Her youngest daughter, Nadia, loves all things horses and bison. Patti had just bought her some Breyer horses along with a stable. Nadia wanted to know what "barrel racing" was. I told Patti to Google it and show her some videos. Then I got sucked into watching barrel racing videos for half an hour!

Back in the day I used to run the barrels with my black and white Paint Horse "Frosty." It was pretty much a guaranteed blue ribbon.

The first of two ice oval races was held Jan. 25. It was exciting to see all the people who showed up to see the races and visit our local businesses. I went to Mammie's for breakfast with my sister-in-law Sharon and saw Matt Lee of Albion, former pro-stock racer extraordinaire at Unity Raceway, also having some breakfast before going to watch the excitement. The next race will be held Saturday, Feb. 8.

Reminder that if you have metal to recycle, you can take it to TA's on Albion Road. If you have any questions, please speak with Tony.
