My niece Brielle turned 1 year old a month ago and now has just started eating apples. My brother told me, "She doesn't actually eat them. She stuffs her mouth full of them and chews...then she doesn't know what to do with them once her mouth is too full and she cries." Hahahahaha





Opening Reception for ROOTS AND BRANCHES

Thursday February 27 at 5pm

Works by Simon van der Ven at Unity Center for the Performing Arts Refreshments will be provided. The reception is free and open to the public. Simon (Siem) van der Ven’s ceramic art engages the senses. His carefully worked forms and surfaces invite touch and contemplation. This exhibition will focus on the origins and connections of his imagery and motifs and will include tools and explanatory text.


The Maine Outdoor Film Festival

Friday February 28 at 7pm

The Maine Outdoor Film Festival, which launched its firstannual event on the banks of the Kennebec in West Forks in summer of 2012, features outdoor films and shorts. Films in the festival represent a diverse selection of outdoor disciplines that celebrate the active outdoor community and inspire expression. The financial proceeds from the 2013/14 MOFF tour go directly to Teens To Trails, a grassroots non-profit organization dedicated to promoting high school outing clubs in the state of Maine. Fishing Derby/ In Memory of T-Pot Parsons

Saturday, March 1 from 6am - 5pm

The Unity Fire. Dept. hosts a Fishing Derby on Unity Pond. Lt. Blaine Jr. is in charge of this. Sounds like a good time is planned. Ladies, they are asking for Items for the Bake Sale to sell. They need to be wrapped individually, grab and go items. Bring the kiddos. Have fun fishing for that Big One...For info, call Blaine at 660-3526. Entry Fee is $1.00.


Unity Democratic Caucus

Sunday March 2 at 1pm

Voter registration will take place at the caucus site at 12:30 for previously unregistered citizens or voters whose current status is "unenrolled" at Unity Barn Raisers Community Center, 32 School St. Convener: Sydney Taber - call 948-7370 with any questions.
