Unity Town News

By Sonia Antunes | Mar 09, 2014

My heart sank when I learned about the sudden passing of Joe Dupere. Although Joe and his wife Kyle McCaskill live a few miles from us, we always thought of them as our neighbors. Their home and farm is a place of learning and wonder, and every time I stopped in to visit was always interesting, educational, and fun. Joe was just … a super neat, cool, interesting, handy, friendly guy. Rest easy.

Another snowshoeing filled weekend also included a visit from Unitel. I had called and asked to have my internet upstairs hooked up. A team of three cheery fellows, Tim, Bob and Marcus showed up, exchanged creative ideas of how to improve my networking situation, and went to work. They had everything working and in place in less than an hour. Great job guys! Last Friday night we went to Unity House of Pizza to see local band Nukelele play. They were such a fun band, the crowd was great, the place was packed, and the food and drinks were excellent, as usual. Bill began outfitting the goat’s house with some stalls. At least two of my Fainting goats are pregnant, and one should be kidding in less than a month. This is her first freshening (birth) and … mine :)
