Apr 21, 2017
7:00 PM - 8:30 PM
Spotted salamander.

Bog denizens — peepers and others — are the focus of a Vernal Pool Exploration in Montville. Join local ecologist and amphibian fanatic Larkspur Morton for a family-friendly springtime exploration of a vernal pool and protected wetland and their amphibian residents. Bring a good flashlight or headlamp and wear footwear appropriate for wet areas, preferably tall rubber boots. Participants should bring an empty white plastic container (similar to the one tofu comes in); there will some available for those unable to bring their own. Meet at the Bog Brook trailhead on Halldale Road in Montville (about a mile in off of Route 220). Register at FMI: 389-5150.
