The mission of the Maine Lighthouse Museum is to educate the public regarding the longstanding traditions, heroism and progress of America's Lighthouse and Lifesaving services and the United States Coast Guard.

This will be accomplished through the conservation and interpretation of the nation's most significant collection of lighthouse and lifesaving artifacts.

As part of the Maine Lighthouse Museum's strategic plan to grow its mission, the organization's board of directors is dedicated to increasing membership to the Museum. To that end we are inviting you to become a member to help us strengthen our commitment to conserve this world-class collection of lighthouse artifacts.

How will my membership help the Museum?
There is strength in numbers! Each membership to the Museum helps us to cover the costs of sharing this collection with the thousands of visitors each year. As a member you will have the satisfaction of  helping us achieve this goal.  Memberships range from the Basic Membership at $25 to the Light Keeper's Membership at $1,000.

The museum rooms are available for rental for holiday parties for businesses, organizations and everyone. Rooms are available for 20-150 people and can include tours and presentations. Entertain in a unique setting that will light up your special event.

For more information about the museum you may call us at 594-3301, check our website at or Follow us on Facebook!  Plan to visit the museum sometime soon!
