Waldo County power outages reported

Some people who experienced lengthy power outages following a storm last week are again without electricity, according to Central Maine Power Co.'s website.

As of nearly 10:30 a.m., CMP was reporting nearly 1,500 customers without power in Waldo County. Most affected is Liberty, with 756 reported outages among its 790 customers.

Other towns impacted as of 10:40 a.m. include Freedom, Monroe, Montville, Palermo, Searsmont, Unity and Winterport, according to the CMP website. No estimates for restoration are being provided at this time.

At noon, power to most had been restored, with CMP reporting 452 outages. Most of Liberty had been restored, and Monroe showed the highest number of outages with 305 of 536 customers reporting a loss of power.
