Waldo County results for 2nd District U.S. congressional race

Nov 06, 2018

In a race that's received national attention for the number of advertising dollars, incumbent Rep. Bruce Poliquin, a Republican, is facing a stiff challenge from Democrat Jared Golden. Two independents also are in the race, which will used ranked-choice voting to determine the overall winner if no candidate receives 51 percent of the votes in the initial round.

Just after midnight, Portland Press Herald and Lewiston Sun Journal predicted the tight race would come down to using ranked-choice tabulations to determine the winner. Just before 2 a.m., Waldo County results showed the race as extremely close.

The following shows results of voting in Waldo County municipalities only and does not indicate the winner. Numbers from each municipality will be updated as they are received.
