Waldo County Sheriff's Department reported two speeding violations and the following recent activity:

Oct. 7

John Cobb, 59, of Glenburn, arrested, charged with operating under the influence.

Ginger Hegstrom, 36, of Thorndike, assault.

Oct. 5

Doreen Berry, 44, of Thorndike, was traveling on Reynolds Road at the intersection with Parsons Valley Road in Thorndike. She was unable to avoid hitting a deer that ran into the roadway.

Chelsea Gibbs, 19, of Monroe, was driving west on Frankfort Road at the intersection of West Park Lane in Swanville. According to Deputy David Wight's report she was driving aggressively and at an imprudent speed. She lost control and left the roadway left hitting a large pile of rocks and numerous trees, according to police. Gibbs sustained incapacitating injuries, the police report states.

Oct. 2

Jeremiah Chauvin, 40, of Knox, arrested, charged with burglary of a motor vehicle, unauthorized use of property, aggravated criminal trespass, operating without a license, operating after suspension.

Sept. 29

Michael L. Wilson, 36, of Freedom, disorderly conduct, assault.
