Walk to End Alzheimer's

The Alzheimer’s Association® is inviting residents in the Bangor area to join the fight to end Alzheimer’s by participating in the Eastern Maine Walk to End Alzheimer’s. The event will take place next to Darling’s Waterfront Pavilion, located at 1 Railroad Street in Bangor.

More than 1,000 Walk to End Alzheimer's participants will complete a three-mile walk and will learn about Alzheimer's disease, advocacy opportunities, clinical studies enrollment and support programs and services from the Alzheimer’s Association. Walk participants will also join in a tribute ceremony to honor those affected by Alzheimer's disease.

Registration 8 a.m., ceremony 9 a.m., walk at 9:30 a.m. The three-mile route takes walkers through Bangor and Brewer, symbolically showing the two cities' commitment to finding the first survivor. Paul Wolfe from Q106.5 with be event DJ and Craig Colson will be event emcee. Dogs on leashes are welcome and the route accommodates strollers and wheelchairs.
