Waterfall Arts calls for Handmade Show artists

Sep 27, 2019

BELFAST — Waterfall Arts, 256 High St., is looking for a variety of unique artwork and gifts handcrafted with a professional aesthetic for the 2019 Handmade Show, a curated collection of high-quality handmade goods and artwork. Handmade is a juried show and submissions will be reviewed by committee. The deadline to apply is Oct. 4.

Examples of desired work are original small works (2D and 3D), fiber work, ceramics, clothing, prints, gift cards, jewelry, small furniture and lighting, body products, food products, and other home goods for all ages. Most work should be priced under $100 though some exceptions apply. Artists keep 60 percent of their sales. Artists who help staff the gallery or sign up to be a member of Waterfall Arts receive an additional 10 percent commission. The remaining percentage of sales goes toward future programming at Waterfall Arts.

This year’s Handmade Show will open on Friday, Dec. 6, and run through Sunday, Dec. 22. During these dates, the gallery will be open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays, and noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Participating artists are also invited to a special members-only viewing on Thursday, Dec. 5, from 5 to 7 p.m.

To apply, please visit or email for a registration form. Three high resolution photos of your work will need to be included. Applications must be submitted by Oct. 4. Upon selection, quantity and display details will be emailed. Selections will be confirmed by Oct. 18. All selected work must be delivered (in person or by mail) to Waterfall Arts on Nov. 26 and 27 between the hours of 10 and 5 p.m. Other exceptions for alternate delivery dates/times can be accommodated if arranged in advance.
