Belfast — The Belfast Historical Society and Museum has announce the third season of its popular televised program “Window on History.” This year’s schedule will include five new productions and a return of favorite programs from the past two seasons.

Beginning Tuesday, Feb. 5, the first of the 2013 programs, “A Day in the Life, Notable Women of Belfast and their Fashions,” will be shown on Belfast Community TV- Channel 2. Those who missed the fashion show given at St. Margaret’s Parish house last May will get to see local models dressed in vintage clothing walk the runway as Megan Pinette, Historical Society president, provides commentary about influential Belfast women.

BCTV-2’s “Window on History” broadcasts will be Tuesdays at 7 p.m., Thursdays at 9:30 a.m. and Saturdays at 4:30 p.m. Programs will change on a monthly basis; visit the Belfast Historical Society’s website, belfastmuseum.org, for the full schedule and on-demand viewing of each program. DVDs of the programs may be borrowed from Belfast Free Library.

Season 3 of “Window on History” is made possible by the generous support of local businesses including Riposta Funeral Home, Dutch Chevrolet Buick, Front Street Shipyard, Viking Lumber, Interiors by Janis Stone, MTA Accounting and Tall Pines Healthcare.
