John and Rachel Nicholas

Lincolnville — Third Wednesday gatherings for live music and more continue Jan. 17, starting 7 p.m. sharp, at the Lincolnville Community Library, 208 Main St./routes 173/52 in Lincolnville Center.

The January evening will feature John and Rachel Nicholas, who have been making music together for more than 30 years. Their original songs are steeped in the varied history of folk and popular music, and their lyrics tell stories that are deep and true.

In 2012, the couple moved to Midcoast Maine and have become active in the music community here. They have performed at the Sweet Chariot Music Festival for the last several years and also have collaborated with David Dodson in the band The Lowdown. The Nicholases have shared the stage with Dave Mallett, Patty Larkin, Chris Smither, Paul Sullivan, Mary Gauthier and many others throughout New England.

Tickets are $10. For advance tickets and more information, call Rosey Gerry at 975-5432.
