 Winterport Union Meeting House.                                                                                                                                             The annual meeting of the Winterport Union Meeting House will be held at Winterport Historical Association Building on Main St. on Monday May 5th at 6:00 P.M.  All current members, future members and the public are welcome to attend.                                                                                                                                      American Legion Post # 138                                                                                                                                            The manure sale is being held at the Winterport  Fire Station on Main St. Sat. May 10 from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.  $ 5.00 a bag.                                                                                                                                            Ellingwoods Corner United Methodist Church                                                                                                                                       The thrift shop will be open from 9:00 a.m. until noon and again from 4-6 p.m.  Many new items have been added.    The baked bean supper is from 4-6 p.m   On the menu:  two kinds of baked beans made from scratch, cole slaw, pickles, brown bread, biscuits, corn bread, pies, cakes and beverages.  All you can eat.  Adults/teens, children over 6,  $8.00.  Children 6 and under free.  For more information contact Deb. at 234 2762.   Location:  Rte 69 and Monroe Road, Winterport.  Date: Sat. May 10th.                                                                                                                                        Winterport Historical Association                                                                                                                             John Ford, retired Maine State Game Warden and Mark Nickerson , retired State Trooper, will be guest speakers telling stories of their careers, which will be very interesting.  They are both authors and will have their books there to sell and to sign. Light refreshments  will be served.   The meeting is at the museum on Mon. May 12, at 7:00 p.m.  Guests are welcome.                                                                                                                                             Winterport Town Office                                                                                                                   Two meetings are scheduled to discuss the proposed new building to house the Town Office, Fire Department and Public Works.  May 15th and May 29th at 7:00 p.m at the Town Office.                                                                                                                                                  WABA                                                                                                                                                Sponsors are needed for the " Pants on Fire" race.  A 3-alarm sponsor is $500.00,  a 2-alarm sponsor is $ 250.00,  a 1-alarm sponsor is $ 50.00 and $ 25.00 will sponsor a trophy.  WABA is organizing the race which is a fund raiser for the Winterport Fire and Rescue.  To make a sponsor, to volunteer or for more information call Joan at Winterport Winery, 223-4500,
