Turn your clocks back an hour this weekend and check or change your smoke alarm and carbon monoxide batteries.

Winterport Woman's Club will be selling the Winterport Community Calendar (2018) at the Wagner Middle School, Tues Nov. 7, when you go to VOTE.

Winterport residents that have wells and still do not have power can get some water at the Winterport Fire Station. Stop at the Town Office first as they need to know how much water is disbursed.

Winterport Historical Association will meet Nov .9 at the Museum at 6:30 pm with a pot luck dinner. The topic of the evening is "The Penobscot Marine Museum" presented by Cipperly Good. Winterport Woman's Club is having their 2nd annual Turkey Drive Sat. Nov. 11, at the old Winterport Fire station on Main St. at 9 am. The neighbors cupboard needs 50 turkeys. Bring a turkey, check, cash, grocery store gift card or non-perishable food items. All will be welcomed.

Winterport Rec is having their 3rd annual Christmas Show, Sat. Nov. 18 , from 9 am to 3 pm at the Leroy H. Smith School, S Main St. Handmade crafts by local vendors, concessions, 50/50 raffles, and more. Free admission.

Frankfort Congregational Church is having a Christmas Fair, Sat. Nov. 18, from 8 am until noon.

Regional School Unit 3 Adult & Community Education is offering a day trip to the New England Aquarium in Boston on Saturday, Nov. 11, including time to enjoy the shopping and eating opportunities at Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market. Depart from the MVHS parking lot on a Cyr Bus motor coach at 7 a.m. Your $69 fee includes transportation and general admission to the aquarium. Special event tickets, IMAX theater tickets and meals are not included. An adult must accompany children under age 18. Call the Adult Ed office at 568-3426 to register.
