The Winterport Town Office will be closing at 1:00 p.m. Fri., Dec. 22, and will be closed on Mon., Dec. 25, for Christmas.

The Transfer station will be closing at 1:00 p.m. on Sun., Dec. 24, and will be closed on Mon., Dec. 25, for Christmas.

Frankfort Congregational Church is having a Christmas Eve Candlelight Service Sunday, Dec. 24, at 7:00 p.m.

Please mark these Frankfort events on your calendars: Jan. 14, Soup, Salad and Song night from 6 to 8 p.m. Dinner is at 6 p.m. and Dale Hustus will provide the music.

Fri., Jan. 26, is Whimsical Winter Call paint night at 6 p.m. The cost is $35 a person. Please send us a message or call 323-86 66 if you would like to attend, as limited spots are available. Instructor is Connie LaGross.

The Waldo County Humane Society will hold its final rabies clinic of the season Jan. 6 at the Leroy H. Smith School in Winterport from 9 to 11 a.m. Dr. Rachel Emerson of the Ridge Runner Vet Clinic will administer the shots. In order to get a 3 year shot, please bring proof of previous vaccinations; otherwise your pet will receive a one-year shot. All pets in carriers or on leashes. Spay/neuter coupons will also be available to assist you with spaying or neutering your pet. For further information you may call 852-5033. All shots are free to Waldo County residents; out of county $7.
