Workforce Solutions to offer free workshops for Mainers

Workforce Solutions will offer the following free virtual career-readiness workshops and program info sessions and workshops for adults and young people in coastal Maine counties.

Workshops are appropriate for individuals of all ages, education and work experience. Details for each virtual offering, including a link to register, can be found below.

Anyone interested will need a smartphone, tablet or computer with ability to handle streaming video-conference, specifically Zoom.

Adult and Youth Program Info Sessions (for Mainers based in York, Cumberland, Sagadahoc, Lincoln, Knox and Waldo counties):

  • WIOA adult services info session; every Wednesday at 1 p.m. (begins May 13)
  • WIOA youth services info session; every Thursday at 2 p.m. (begins May 14)

Adult Workshops Schedule and Registration:

  • Navigating career decisions; Wednesday, May 13, at 10 a.m.
  • Resume and cover letter writing; Wednesday, May 20, at 10 a.m.
  • Interviewing 101; Wednesday, May 27, at 10 a.m.

Youth Workshops Schedule and Registration:

  • Youth resume writing basics; Thursday, May 14, at 1 p.m.
  • Youth cover letter writing for entry-level jobs; Thursday, May 21, at 1 p.m.
  • Youth interviewing tips and tricks; Thursday, May 28, at 1 p.m.
