WRFR-LP Tuesday daily schedule local radio station 93.3fm & 99.3fm

8-9 a.m. “Afterwords,” with Jo. Join Jo Lindsay as she reads the obituaries for Knox County. After each obituary Jo plays a song chosen by her, based on what she gleans from each personal obit.

9-9:30 a.m. "the Maine Show w/ Ben Sprague." The goal of this show is to share the stories behind the people, events, and ideas driving the state of Maine forward. For hundreds of years Mainers have come together around campfires and wood stoves, and kitchen tables and wishing holes, to tell stories. At it’s purest form, that is what, “The Maine Show,” is all about.

10-11 a.m.  “Grounded Local, Gardening w/ Jacinda Martinez.” Each week Jacinda will dig into a gardening or growing topic. She’ll pick from history, science, folk traditions,  current events and practical information to give you  an exciting picture of  plants, tools, and gardening practices.  Jacinda will also play you a few appropriately selected songs.

11 a.m. – 2 p.m. “Rhythms and Rhymes with Grampy Keith.”  A mix of poetry, old and new, along with music. The music could be anything from “popular” tunes from the 30’s through the 70’s including country, rock, swing, and occasionally some classical pieces. Grampy Keith hopes to interest local folks who are writing verse to come to the station and read their poetry for the listeners to enjoy. Call the station to contact Grampy Keith 594-0721 and leave a message for him.

2-3 p.m.  “World in Song.”  A vast variety of music.

3-6 p.m. “Happy Hour,” with DJ Chuckee. Start off with a spin on Rotary Time from 3-4 p.m. and stay tuned for Happy Hour, “The Longest Hour in radio,” featuring Music familiar and not, Celebratory Send-Outs, and “From Where I Stood, The Millay Moment” wherein we honour Rockland’s own poet, Edna St. Vincent Millay.

6-8 p.m   "21st Century Bohemian,"  is a weekly exploration and celebration of creativity and creative process featuring artists, writers and musicians. The show is hosted by writer Teresa Piccari. FYI...today’s live show is cancelled due to storm.

Instead, please tune in for some great Springsteen music originally broadcast last October.

*cancelled due to storm.  8-9 p.m. “Jo & Cheech Radio Hour,” focuses on creative and community projects. Hosts Rachel and Joelle Albury have interviewed Maine artists, writers, musicians, and members of local community organizations, plus musicians from outside the local area.

10 -11 p.m. “Break the Anchor,” with Joao Bentes- after the moonrise in Rockland, there are waves and salt, boat builders and sailors, local stories or tales from far away oceans through splashes of Rock, Surf-Rock, Garage and Punk. Hear it all on “Break the Anchor.” On Tuesdays it’s in English and on Thursdays it’s in Portuguese at the same time of night.

11 p.m. -1 a.m. Late Night Groove with DJ Bruce Swan. Join Bruce as he explores and introduces you to new singers, songwriters and bands that you may not have heard of…or maybe you have!~
