Zeigler wins reelection in House District 96

Incumbent Rep. Stanley Paige Zeigler, D-Montville, won the challenge to his bid to continue to represent District 96 by Belmont Republican Robert Currier.

Zeigler was first elected in 2014, when Democratic Rep. Christine Burstein of Lincolnville did not seek reelection after her first term. The district includes Belmont, Liberty, Lincolnville, Montville, Morrill, Palermo and Searsmont.

Currier is a selectman in Belmont, an EMT for the city of Belfast and an emergency room tech.
