    Aubuchon Hardware donates to dog park

    Aubuchon Hardware once again held its annual Community Appreciation Day this year. Since 2001, the chain has donated a portion of this day's sales to a local charity or organization chosen by the store manager.     Presentation to warn of coming beetle battle

    It's coming, it may even be here — a beetle capable of destroying Maine's forest canopy.     Belfast boy celebrates first birthday

    Connor Jeremy Beal celebrated his first birthday April 28. Born on the same day as his grandfather, the late Jon Adams, he is the son of Carol Adams and Christopher Beal of Belfast. His maternal grandparents are LuAnne Adams and the late Jon Adams; and his paternal grandparents are Tom and Vicki Beal of Swanville.

    Belfast class of 2000 to celebrate 10th reunion

    The Belfast Area High School Class of 2000 will be holding its 10-year reunion Saturday, June 26, from 4-10 p.m. at the Belfast Boathouse, 34 Commercial St. Members of the class are welcome to bring a guest, but are asked to leave children at home.     On April 27, in appreciation for their service to the community, the Searsport town employees were recognized with a luncheon served by members of Granite Grange 192.     Local student to attend Naval Academy summer program

    The Naval Academy's summer Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Program is an overnight academic camp designed for rising 8th-11th-grade students in good academic standing who are interested in math and science.
