The Ya Dead Mon team comes to a snowy stop on Hosmer Pond Saturday during the 20th annual U.S. National Tobbogan Championships at the Camden Snow Bowl. The team finished its two runs in 8.929 and 8.818 seconds for a fastest time of 8.818 seconds. However, that was not good enough for a top-30 spot in the two-person division.

The air was crisp and cold and the sun shone brightly for most of the weekend, making for perfect conditions for outdoor fun and a historic celebration.

Many of the hundreds of event goers even paid tribute to the anniversary by lying on a wooden sled and gliding at high speeds down an iced 400-foot wooden chute before barreling across a frozen pond. And most did all that wearing hilarious costumes and sporting the most humorous team names.
