The "Red Rocket" is back on the road again after she received a new water pump, belt and thermostat. Thank you to my brother Matt who loaned me his Pontiac Vibe for a week; it was nice traveling incognito!

I felt well enough to go to Wiscasset Speedway on June 11. It was nice to see some old friends and listen to the sound of big motors. Unfortunately our LMS got caught up in a wreck, along with Frankie Moulton, and ended their day prematurely. The guys are out in the shop doing some damage repair. My car broke down on Election Day, but the race car takes precedence. It was great to see Dave "Boss Hog'' St. Clair still wheeling a car at age 74; he not only wheels it, he's a contender!

"Owen" the opossum is still hanging around, but he has been joined by two rotund raccoons. One of them is missing part of its ear. I think I shall name him "Vincent van Gogh."

I was watching a grey squirrel run back and forth across the lawn carrying something in its mouth to deposit in my old large maple tree; she was moving her babies on this cold windy day.

We had a nice quiet Easter. I had my older brother and his wife over for a roast pork loin and all the fixin's. I know ham is the more popular choice; I hate ham, and since I was doing the cooking I got to decide what we ate.
