    A third-generation Unity resident, Penny Picard Sampson grew up on a small dairy farm and graduated from Mount View High School and Unity College. She has been animal control officer, a town and county Budget Committee member, and, since 2014, a member of the Unity Select Board. Retired since becoming ill in 2014, she worked 16 years for MBNA/Bank of America, Belfast. Her passions include the care of Unity cemeteries and promoting Unity as a great place to live.
